What does Impact Accelerator offer?

Impact Fund Denmark normally invests within financial services, sustainable food systems, health, and green energy and infrastructure. Impact Accelerator has a broader investment mandate and can invest across all sectors in all developing countries.
Who can receive financing?
A company may be eligible for financing if it:
Is established in, or seeks to expand activities into, a developing country as defined by the OECD/DAC
Contributes to creating positive environmental or social impact and does not engage in activities described on Impact Fund Denmark’s exclusion list
Approved partnership models
Danish companies seeking to establish or expand their business operations in emerging and developing markets
Local companies founded, managed or financed by Danish partners
Local companies with commercial links to Denmark, for example through Danish technology, distribution, imports or exports

Frequently asked questions
You may be eligible for financing if you are a Danish company or a company with commercial ties to Denmark and are looking to expand your activities into a developing country as defined by OECD/DAC. The project must also generate positive social or environmental impact, be commercially viable, and must not involve any activities included on Impact Fund Denmark’s Exclusion List.
Impact Accelerator’s investment mandate has been expanded to support all sectors, except those involving activities listed on Impact Fund Denmark’s exclusion list.
Yes. If Impact Fund Denmark wishes to invest in your company/project, you can also receive technical assistance to support business establishment and business development.
Yes. Activities must take place in a developing country, create positive social or environmental impact, be commercially viable, and must not involve activities included on Impact Fund Denmark’s exclusion list. Projects not living up to these criteria are not eligible for financing.
Projects must contribute either to greener societies or to more just and inclusive societies. Examples include climate adaptation, renewable energy, increased incomes among low-income populations, and improved access to financial or healthcare services. Impact Accelerator is specifically aimed at Danish companies and companies with commercial ties to Denmark and offers smaller ticket sizes and across a broader range of sectors than Impact Fund Denmark’s traditional investments. You can read more about our additional financing opportunities here.
