Why it matters
Poverty remains a pressing challenge. Government-to-government infrastructure investments are vital for improving living conditions in poor and fragile countries, where billions still lack basic services like electricity, clean water and sanitation.
Public Infrastructure, formerly known as Danida Sustainable Infrastructure Finance (DSIF), is fully funded by Danish development aid, making poor and fragile countries a clear priority.
We invest in sustainable public infrastructure, engaging in project development and providing concessional funding, technical assistance and capacity building to governments in poor and fragile countries across Africa and Asia, and in Ukraine – ensuring vital projects that would not be funded on market terms.
