Despite the ongoing war in Ukraine, the district heating project in Kremenchuk was successfully implemented. The investment was made in 2022, and the units delivered in early 2023. The initiative was made possible through grant financing provided by the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO).

The primary goal of the project is to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the district heating system in Kremenchuk, ensuring a consistent supply of heat and hot water to residents. The planned renovation will lead to significant energy savings, a reduction in heat and water losses, and improved daily reliability of supply for all residents within the service areas.

Once fully upgraded, the district heating network – including improvements to the pipe infrastructure – will serve 70,000 people, covering more than 30 per cent of the city’s population.
