The gurantee to Renewable Energy Performance Platform 2 (REPP 2) creates access to capital for investments renewable energy in Sub-Saharan Africa, including in poor and fragile countries, in markets where neither private nor Development Finance Institutions investments are flowing.
With the guarantee, Camco (fund manager) can mobilise more private capital, enabling multiple new small and medium-scale renewable energy projects, expanding clean energy and decent jobs in Sub-Saharan Africa.
