The SIDAFF Programme supports the development of sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure in South Africa’s Western Cape. The programme helps municipalities develop critical infrastructure projects that improve water security and strengthen resilience to climate change.

South Africa faces growing water challenges due to climate change, population growth and underinvestment in infrastructure. Many municipalities struggle to attract financing and develop projects that can address these challenges.

By supporting the development of water and wastewater projects, the SIDAFF Programme helps improve access to essential services while mobilising additional financing for infrastructure investments. The initiative demonstrates how partnerships between public institutions and private investors can help address critical infrastructure needs and support sustainable development.
