Climate finance

According to the UN, closing the finance gap for reaching SDG 13 on Climate Action requires more than USD 6 trillion annually.

Impact Fund Denmark invests in commercially viable private companies that contribute to the green transition in developing and growth economies.

We invest in green energy and infrastructure, financial institutions supporting sustainable micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, forestry management and agricultural transformation towards green and Co2-friendly practices – a sector that is the backbone of employment in developing economies as well as a major contributor to climate emissions.

Green economies as core impact criteria

Creating green economies is central to our mission and a key factor in how we assess impact. Green economies drive resource efficiency, climate mitigation, circularity and sustainable growth in developing countries. Climate adaptation and biodiversity protection are integral to this transition, ensuring resilience for the future.
