From 11–12 June, Impact Fund Denmark will be at Folkemødet – Denmark’s annual democracy festival on Bornholm, where politicians, businesses, organisations and citizens come together to debate current issues shaping our world.
Our CEO Lars Bo Bertram, Deputy CEO Søren Peter Andreasen, Senior Vice President for Communication and Marketing Charlotte Holst Frahm and External Communications Director Thøger Kirk will all be attending – and are looking forward to joining conversations across stages and sectors.
Co-hosting UN SDGs tent (Verdensmålenes telt)
This year, we are proud co‑hosts of UN SDGs tent (Verdensmålenes telt), where we host four sessions exploring responsibility, narratives and investment opportunities in a changing world:
- Thursday, 9:00-9:45: Who carries the world? We open Folkemødet by asking who is responsible for solving the world’s biggest challenges.
- Thursday, 12:00-12:45: Why are we not talking more about Africa? A conversation about how Africa is portrayed in Danish media, and how we can shift narratives, assumptions and responsibility.
- Friday, 13:00-13:45: Can a good deed be a good investment? How can business and philanthropy coexist and work together as global capital flows are changing?
- Friday, 16:00-16:45: Africa quiz: Prejudices, facts and future. An interactive and quiz challenging common assumptions and showcasing Africa’s real business potential.
Beyond UN SDGs tent, you will also find us on multiple stages on both Thursday and Friday, participating in debates on topics such as pensions and investments, opportunities in the Global South, development finance and the role of private capital in global development.
If you would like to connect or meet up at Folkemødet, feel free to reach out.
We hope to see you on Bornholm.
